European Board for Accreditation of CME in Clinical Microbiology
The UEMS Specialist Section of Medical Biopathology, Commission of Microbiology, in cooperation with the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ESCMID) has established the European Board for the Accreditation in Clinical Microbiology (EBACM). The purpose of this joint initiative is to support providers of CME in the field of medical and clinical microbiology in applying for European CME credits.

ESCMID European Council
| The ESCMID European Council consists of European specialist societies, which have signed an affiliation agreement with ESCMID with the objective to promote the wider interests of both organisations. It shall strengthen the cooperation among the European specialist societies in the human infection field and foster the advancement of science, education and professional affairs across Europe. Affiliated societies are normally represented by their Presidents. Affiliation is subject to approval by the Executive Committee. The European Council meets during the annual congress of the Society. The members of affiliated societies are entitled to subscribe to Clinical Microbiology and Infection at a preferential rate and to receive ESCMID Online News at least three times per year by email through the headquarters of their parent organisation. Affiliated societies can also send information about their events, which will be then published on the ESCMID website under Calendar of Events in an Affiliated Society subsection. Annual affiliation fee per society: EUR 50 (< 300 members), EUR 100 (300 to 1000 members) or EUR 250 (> 1000 members). |
